Since June 12 until now, World Cup 2014 has taken place for around 20 days in Brazil. Time flies so fast; World Cup nearly comes to the end. Starting with 32 national football teams, World Cup has now reached semi-final with only 4 teams—Germany, Netherland, Brazil and Argentina. These four giant teams have gone through many challenges in their tournaments with other teams to reach this stage. No longer, the next tournament will be started. The semi-final between Brazil and Germany will be held on July 8th at 17:00 (local time). On Thursday 9th July, there will be another semi-final between Netherland and Argentina at 17:00 (local time). Between these 4 four teams, who will be the World Cup 2014 Champion holder?
1.Brazil:
If we look back to the history of World Cup, we can see that Brazil is the most successful team which has been qualified for every tournament since 1930 and has got five champions. Brazil national team consists of great defenders like David Luiz and Thiago Silva. Also, Brazil has talented midfielders, forwards and goalkeepers such as Fernandinho, Luiz Gustavo, Oscar, Hulk, Jefferson and other great players. Even though a currently unexpected news has shown that Brazil’s star striker Neymar rules out of the tournament, it doesn’t mean Brazil will not be able to win the champion. Besides Neymar, there are still more great players who will be able to bring their nation a champion. Additionally, Brazil team’s technique in playing is very nice. They attack their opponents confidently and bravely. They have a well cooperation among all the team members. Brazil, as a host, will probably be the champion holder in 2014 World Cup.
2.Germany:
is one of the best team in history of World Cup as the only European nation to enter every FIFA World Cup tournament since 1934. After Brazil, Germany is the national team with the most champion—three champions in 1954, 1974 and 1990. In World Cup 2014, German team has already scored 10 goals by its awesome players. German team comprises of many great players such as Manuel Neuer (goalkeeper), Mats Hummels (defender), Mesut Oezil (midfielder), Mario Goetze (forward) and so on. Plus, German has one of the top goal scorer in World Cup 2014—Thomas Mueller. As a star striker of Germany, he alone scored 4 goals for his team. German team players are very good at attacking and defending. Also, they may have their own unique technique in playing; their attacks is awesome and unpredictable.
3.Argentina:
has appeared in World Cup tournament for 15 times since 1930. Being one of the most successful team in FIFA World Cup history, Argentina has got 2 champions in 1978 and 1986. In this year, World Cup 2014, Argentina has come to the semi-final; they will compete with Netherland. Argentina is believed by most people to go to final match due to its good players and its technique in playing. Argentina has a key player—Lionel Messi—who is one of the top scorer in World Cup 2014 to get 4 goals scored by him alone. Also, other team members are very strong in both defending and attacking. Each member functions their position very well. They seem to have such a good technique; attack fast and unpredictably.
4.Netherland:
has joined the World Cup tournament for only 10 times since 1934 and has never got a champion. However, thing seems to get different. Netherland’s performance in World Cup 2014 is very nice. For its first tournament with 2010 World Cup champion holder Spain, Netherland won over Spain with an awesome result—5-1. Netherland has a nice captain Robin Van Persie and a great vice-captain Arjen Robben; each of them has scored 3 goals. Furthermore, Netherland consists of many good players such as Memphis Depay, Leroy Fer, Wesley Sneijder, Kuyt and other players. Each member, especially captain and vice-captain, is very fast in attacking.
In conclusion, these four giant teams consist of their own key players who have helped their nation to reach this semi-final. All the teams are equally strong. Being not a fortune teller, I can’t tell you which team will win. For me, I think Germany may be the winner. You may have different idea, so which team do you think will hold the 2014 World Cup champion?
